Does anyone else use greek yogurt instead of milk with cereal?

I’m having a lazy morning and I didn’t feel like preparing any other breakfast than cereal.  But cereal is so not filling.  So I used greek yogurt instead of milk, and it’s actually pretty good.

In other news, I am moving to Japan in a month and am scared that I won’t know how to stick to my clean eating there.

Anyone have any experience with eating healthy in Japan?

update update.

I am home with my parents.  I will probably be here until mid-August.  In mid-August I will be moving to another country.  Sooo, I really want to lose most of what I have to lose this summer before I move.  How awesome would it be to move to a new place and to have the body I want??

My plan:
- restart C25K: I wanted to do it this morning but I realized two things: 1 - it’s pouring and 2 - I don’t have headphones.  My mom will lend me her headphones until I get mine back, so tomorrow I will start :)

- manage my family meals: every time I come home my family feeds me too much.  I’m hoping to work something out with my mom where I make the meals most nights or something like that.

… I guess I don’t really have a specific plan other than that.  I’ve been losing weight for many months just doing calorie counting, so I guess I plan on sticking with that.  I’d really like to eventually move away from that, but for now I need to count.  Not counting didn’t really lead to much lost weight.

Well, I have a job interview today, so wish me luck :D  I hope everyone has an okay monday!

I’m really disappointed.

I was excited to see that my local grocer has finally started carrying more Vitalicious products.  They used to only carry corn Vitatops and banana nut Vitatops.  Yesterday I was pleased to see they had chocolate brownies!

But the chocolate brownies totally taste exactly like the chocolate vitatops!  Only smaller!  My advice is to just go with the vitatops over the brownies if you are craving chocolate.

I’m still alive and well.

I’m just trying to get through my final weeks of university.  Still have to finish my thesis, still have exams.

Please be patient!  Over the summer I will be free to post more about my daily fitness related activities.

Grocery Haul:

Don’t judge me.  I have to finish my thesis and prepare for finals in the next two weeks.  So I got more packaged foods than normal.

  • bananas
  • watermelon (so much of it)
  • sweet potato
  • butternut squash (don’t care that its not in season, lalala)
  • almond milk
  • cheerios
  • yogurt
  • some amy’s frozen foods (including spinach pockets; they are so good)
  • soup
  • chocolate soy milk

some things

I will be graduating college in about three weeks.  This means I will no long have access to the school gym.  I will only be home for 3-4 months, but I will need a gym membership to keep up with my lifting.

My options are somewhat limited.  Are gym memberships expensive?  I’ve never had to consider one since I’ve been in school my whole life and had access to free ones.

Also, today is grocery shopping day! This is both :)  and :( .  I kind of hate shopping, but I’m in dire need of things.

Planned things

  • sweet potatoes (I pretty much eat them like they are going out of style)
  • shirataki noodles (I have a crapton of chicken breast to use up)
  • strawberries (I eat these for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert while they are in season)
  • frozen veggies (as more appealing fruits come in season I have a less of a desire for vegetables.  hopefully getting some quick frozen ones will make them more tempting)

And other stuff.

Several equally important things to note:
  • 1 lb gone this week.  Slow but it will do.
  • I have a lot of work.  Sorry for the lack of updates.

And the final thing, that I really would like some advice about for the 2-3 followers of mine that are currently in Busan.

I got offered a position with a company that hires public school teachers to work in Busan.  I don’t know if it’s definitely what I want, and I’m still in communication with one other recruiting agency,  but I also don’t 100% know what to expect from a contract.  So, any advice you could throw my way would be excellent.  Really.  Anything.

april goals

  1. Drink more water - I’ve gotten lazy again and am only drinking half what I usually do.
  2. Eat less fruit, and more veggies - I always have this problem when the weather gets warm -____-
  3. Finish off the last of my frozen meals - I bought a bunch of salmon and chicken breast that I froze, and I routinely forget I have them.  I’m moving soon so I have to finish it all off.
  4. Start morning workouts - I think these will be better for me than any other time.

I need running shorts with pockets.

All mine have those tiny internal pockets that can fit like one quarter.  I can’t tell you how many times after a workout I want to go somewhere, and end up just awkwardly carrying my wallet and phone.

Ugh ugh.  And carrying a phone in bumming-it workout clothing looks dumb.  And I hate purses.  Well, I love the way they look, but I’d rather carry a backpack or something that is low maintenance.

Also, I’m so frustrated with myself that I have allowed myself to stall at the same weight for nearly three months.  Three months!  That’s a long time.  uuuggghhh.

My bikini season is getting so close, but my waist still isn’t getting any smaller.  I do feel more comfortable with my body though.  Being at this weight for a while has given me more confidence at a heavier weight than I though that I could be.

Today is a skinny jeans and oversized cardigan kind of day.

Test, classes, ugh.  And I’m so in the mood for fruit, I think it’s going to dominate my intake.  Must say no to fruit and yes to more protein ;____;
